For counselling services
Last updated: 03.10.2026
Who this page is for
For everyone who advises families on Pflegegeld (long-term care allowance): community nurses, the Arbeiterkammer (Chamber of Labour), KOBV and ÖZIV, the care counselling services of the federal states and social counselling.
What the checker does
The family describes a normal day in their own words. An AI assigns the sentences to the care tasks of the Einstufungsverordnung (Classification Ordinance) and quotes them word for word. A fixed program calculates hours, level and deadline, not the AI.
At the end it shows which help may be missing from the Bescheid (official decision), what difference that makes each month and by when a court action (Klage) is possible.
What it does not do
- It decides nothing. The insurance institution or the court makes the binding decision.
- It does not calculate for children under 15. For them, the Kinder-Einstufungsverordnung (Classification Ordinance for children) applies.
- It does not check a decision that lowers a level or takes it away.
- It can be wrong, and then usually with a level that is too low.
How often it is right is shown openly on the page How we check
Using it in a counselling session
You can try it without a real case on the page Example cases
Write the description together with the family, with scenes from their everyday life.
The result serves as a basis for the conversation. On request, it also produces a cheat sheet for the next assessment visit (Begutachtung) and a care diary (Pflegetagebuch). Everything can be printed or saved as a PDF.
Recommending it
The checker is free, needs no account and shows no ads. The address to pass on: www.pflegegeld-pruefer.at
How it handles the details is explained in the privacy policy.
Who is behind it
Bernhard Götzendorfer runs Pflegegeld-Prüfer himself.
More about him on the page About Pflegegeld-Prüfer.
Feedback reaches him through the contact details in the legal notice.
This is not legal advice. The Arbeiterkammer (Chamber of Labour) and disability associations advise their members on the Bescheid and the court action.
